Nine months after the demise of the second werewolf to roam the Black Hill on the Shropshire/Welsh border, a child is born to Margaret Gunn. Is baby Hugh her husband’s son … or that of the now-deceased Tom Owen? Bloody violence returns to the Gunn’s lives as Hugh grows up. Amongst the locals, rumours abound following a series of depraved murders across the Midlands area. Is a serial killer on the loose? Is another werewolf in their midst? Or is it the evil work of the ancient Black Dogs, whose terrifying legend stretches back through the swirling mists of Black Hill’s history? Journalist, game-shooter and, by now, seasoned werewolf hunter Gordon Hall is on the scene again, leading where the authorities falter. Can Hall bring the brutal horrors of Black Hill to an end? Or will powerful supernatural forces take hold once and for all?
