The Guy N. Smith Short Film Challenge -25 is here – easier, sweatier, and grimier than ever before!
Your objective?
Simple: create a short film based on one of Guy N. Smith’s stories. (And trust us, there’s a mountain of them to dig through. Find information at www.blackhillbooks.co.uk/
This is your chance to:
✔ Have your work screened at The Guy N. Smith fan convention on Sunday 7th September at Knighton Community Centre in Powys, Wales
✔ Snatch a fat $1,000 reward
✔ Get promoted on www.dreadsanctum.com
The Criteria:
• Your short film must be based on a story by Guy N. Smith.
• Clearly credit the source within the film (e.g., “Based on [Story Name] by Guy N. Smith.”)
• FilmFreeway will be used as the submission platform.
• Entry fee: $20 per film.
Technical Requirements:
• Format: MP4
• Maximum file size: 2 GB
• If the film is in a language other than English, subtitles must be burnt in
• Maximum runtime: 15 minutes
• Deadline: August 31st 2025
